Smile European Guild Wars Version Question

I am thinking about buying Guild Wars Factions off of a certain website. The guy who is selling it says that it is completly new, never opened. However, he says it is the European version, and that it will run fine on US computers. My questions is: If I buy it, and install it on my computer, and select USA as where I live, will all the words and dialog be in english? Thanks!

Yeah, the only which may occur is that you have English Dis 1 etc as home districts.
You can change that @ Edit account though

Don't buy it from a third party; only buy from Arenanet/NCSoft or from stores. Some people will try to scam you.

Factions sells for $20 these days, with free shipping within US. That's official boxed copy from the store, guaranteed to be valid.

How much are you spending on yours? Consider that the "unopened" is irrelevant. And if this is Euro version, does it mean it'll be shipped from Europe - what's the S&H fee for that?

But do as you want. I personally am not rich enough to buy cheap.

More precisely: the first owner will show NCSoft his valid receipt(s) & they (support) will give cd-key ownership back to him, meaning you will loose yours without any compensation & money.

So unless its a valid shop you are buying from dont bother.

Here is a more to the point answer: all copies of Guild Wars are the same. The only differences that there may be are how the keycode is packaged. I have heard that in Europe they put them on a card that looks like a credit card, here in teh US and other countries they have the keycodes in a piece of paper that has been folded and sealed. I am unsure of the reason that they package them different. As far as buying from another person, If you know and trust them then yes otherwise get a new copy from ta store or from NC-Soft's webstore. Doing it that way you will be asured that the keycode hasn't been used or taken out of the package. As far as the region that you choose it more depends upon the place where you first log in at. Most times the game will ask you what region you want as your home region.
